Where to Find Affordable and
Free Books to Read

Many of us love cheap and free books to read. But with the economy the way it is these days and with so many of us feeling as though we have no choice but to work double or triple the hours just to keep up with our bills, it has become harder than ever before to afford our favorite books. Don't worry though, there are plenty of places where you can find books that fit your budget; you may even be able to find free ones!

Garage Sales Offer Hidden Treasures

We know some of you don't like garage sales because it's hard to find what you are looking for but that's the fun of it. You never know what you're going to find. Summertime is the best time to check out yard and garage sales because this is typically the time of the year that people are cleaning out their homes and getting rid of things they no longer want. A lot of the times someone else's idea of 'trash' is your idea of a 'treasure'. You never know, they may even offer free books to read. This is a great way to find new styles and authors that you've never heard of.

Discount Book Stores

We are huge fans of discount books stores. It's always great to find something that not that long ago was full price at a very low price. Many times, such stores accept donations so you never know what you may find. The great news is, you can call up to see what kinds of things are available so you can spend less time searching and more time enjoying the cheap and free books to read that you've been wanting for months.

Everything is More Affordable on the Internet

What would we do without the internet? Honestly, what would we do if it didn't exist? It's hard to imagine a life without it now. You can find all sorts cheap and free books to read as well as lots of other things online. Sites such as Craig's List allow you to communicate directly with individuals who are selling books. A lot of the times you are going to be able to talk them down quite a bit, depending on how many 'bites' they have been getting. There isn't quite a better feeling than getting something for much cheaper than you had expected.

Low Priced or Free Books Available on E-Readers

E-Readers are not only great because books are so readily available, (you can literally download most books within a few mere seconds and start reading right away) but the prices are fantastic. You will probably be as shocked as we were when you realize just how many free books to read that are available for download. E-Readers such as Kindle and Nook are constantly competing to give you the best experience possible and because of this, you are getting great discounts. You can even subscribe to your favorite magazines on your E-Reader, which is an added feature that we can't get enough of.
