Internet Bookselling News & Views, Issue #15 - The Busy Season Is Upon Us!
August 04, 2013

August 3, 2013

Greetings;

The slow summer season is coming to an end and the busy holiday season is fast approaching. Before you know it Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas will be upon us and many will enjoy their busiest time of year ever—are you ready?

Have you begun ordering your seasonal merchandise from distributors and manufacturers? Have you pulled your seasonal merchandise out of mothballs and gotten it listed online? If not, now is the time to do it.

Always take into account the lag time between a customer ordering a product and how long it takes to reach its intended destination. Make sure your products are available in time for holiday deadlines.

And if you’re using FBA, give yourself an extra two weeks to give the Amazon folks time to receive and activate your stock.

Most sellers make the majority of their money between September 1st and January 31st. You’ll want to take maximum advantage of this prime selling season!

Good hunting.
Joe

Book Scouting in ... England, Scotland, Ireland
I wish I were the kind of traveler who blogs fluently, breezily, in the moment, from foreign sidewalk cafés and park benches. Here are some belated highlights...

I’ve sold the lovely Ms. Cannell’s books, and always had the impression her work was enjoyed by most. Well, if you were to go by reviews up on amazon, you’d think she’d written the worst claptrap ever...
